The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”  Walt Disney

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of thoughts in your mind?  I have.  Those thoughts can easily creep in and take over.  They have the capacity to strip you of your ability to focus, be present and get stuff done!  Let me show you how to move from feeling overwhelmed by everything that needs to get done to feeling in control and accomplished.

It’s simple, but will you do it?

Sit down, grab a pen and write any to-do’s or should do’s that come to mind.  Just take five minutes.  (You have five minutes).  If you want to increase your productivity and regain your sense of calm, this is important.

So many goals are left unaccomplished (which can tend to make your confidence drop) because you’re thinking about them instead of taking action on them.

For each item, create a simple plan of action.  Check this out:

Thought:  Babysitter

Action Plan:

  1. Ask friends who they have hired
  2. Get number
  3. Choose a few possible times to get out (sans kids)
  4. Phone and invite for a trial babysitting time
  5. Rinse and repeat

Thought:  Organize office meeting

Action Plan:

  1. Choose a date
  2. Stop asking employees when they are free and tell them it’s mandatory
  3. Decide what key themes will be discussed
  4. Make an outline
  5. Does anyone else need to be involved?  Who will you reach out to?

You get the idea.  Unless you have a plan, you’ll waste energy and accomplish little.  That doesn’t feel good.  What does is being proactive about your thoughts instead of letting them stress you out and stripping you of your ability to accomplish more.  You got this!!
