I didn’t know that what I eat on a daily basis is usually seriously lacking in quality and nutrient value.  After watching a few documentaries on food I was much better informed.  Unless we buy organic everything or shop from our own garden and local farmer, we are eating food that is nutritionally and minerally lacking.  Even if we eat all organic, we’re not guaranteed to get the quality nutrients, vitamins and minerals our bodies and brains need to function optimally.

“Many of the fruit and vegetables that animals and humans are consuming, essentially contain less nutrients, minerals, vitamins etc. that they have some decades ago.”  This quote is taken from an article called The Nutrient Cycle.  You can check out more about it here.

That’s why I’ve chosen to supplement my diet and I’ve noticed a real difference in how I feel.  I’ve experienced more energy, enhanced ability to focus, much less afternoon ‘slumping’ and a new balance emotionally.

What have you learned about our modern food supply and how we can take better care of ourselves?  I’d love to hear!
