How would it feel if you could press pause during the Christmas season?  I have a button you can press today that will slow down your life.  Responsibilities and appointments keep you on your toes, but you can have down time and not feel guilty about it.

Life passes by so quickly.  Why would you want to waste even a moment?  But this is what happens when you rush and cram so many ‘to-do’s’ into your day.

Here is my suggestion to help you slow down and savour…your family and friends, food, a good book or simply putting your feet up.

Do Less

This might be difficult for some of you who read that and think ‘doing less’ is for lazy or unproductive people.  Truly, doing less produces quality over quantity.  I guarantee you that cutting back what you put on your work and personal plate will allow for more opportunity to focus.  You’ll find you spend your time on what’s most important rather than what doesn’t matter as much.

In order for you to get the most out of every moment, my suggestion is that you start to adopt a slower life.  As Ghandi said, “There is more to life than increasing its speed!”

Listen to what Jenn shared with me…

“One key principle Amy encouraged me to implement was to guard my rest (unplugging from the world and its demands). As I took care of myself better my focus and energy increased as well as my resiliency to deal with my life as a whole.  I saw how this internal peace improved my decision making, conflict resolution and even building up my business.”

What steps have you taken that have helped you enjoy your time more?  What tips would you share with others that want to move from a hectic life to a slower one?

Lots of love over Christmas!

Amy
