The Forgiveness Challenge

Imagine if you knew people better before you judged.  Imagine if you knew how they felt in the moment, what their past looked like.  Don’t you think you’d be able to see them as someone maybe a little similar to yourself?

We all deal with fears and insecurities.  We all make mistakes and need forgiveness.

Forgivessness is key if you want to improve how you feel and sometimes how you view yourself.  So much blame, resentment, hard feelings and misunderstanding comes from holding on to grudges.  Often the person who needs forgiveness doesn’t even know or feel the discomfort that you might be feeling.  Unforgiveness is a personal dungeon you create for yourself.

My challenge for you is to release people of what they’ve done.  How does it serve you to hold on to it any longer?  That’s an important question to ask yourself.

“Is the way I’m living empowering or disempowering?”

Forgivessness does not mean that what happened is ok, simply that you are choosing to release people, sometimes choosing to release them time and time again.

This week when your feelings are hurt or when your mind circles back to a past hurt that keeps rearing it’s head, why not practice forgiveness?
