Creating real wealth is important to business leaders who want to make a big difference. You’ll connect with what I’m about to share if you have a passion for business and also deeper desire for fulfillment than money provides. Real wealth definitely includes financial wealth but there are a few important aspects of wealth that we often overlook. If your goal is to feel truly wealthy, not just have toys and savings in the bank, these keys will help you get started.
There are 3 distinct keys I use in my own life to create real wealth. Try them out to create a truly wealthy life for yourself.
Define To Attain: Define your goals and what makes you feel wealthy in order to live your life in alignment with what you want more of. If you don’t make space to define what would make you feel happy and wealthy, you’ll chase after other people’s dreams. You’ll chase after money and make it your central focus. You’ll chase after material things and be left feeling empty on the inside. My definition of a wealthy life includes finances, connection to God and my family and close friends, personal growth, health, etc.
Enjoy To Sustain: Creation of wealth requires your consistent involvement. In order to maintain progress you need to enjoy the work. There needs to be a deeper reason you’re doing the work which gives you a boost of energy. For me it helps to remember my authentic way of operating – energetic, fun, joyful, spontaneous, playful. When I tackle work from an energized, fun mental state I work consistently and accomplish more.
Let Go To Receive: It’s important to have a plan for yourself, to be strategic and prepared. You’re responsible for managing your time and energy so that you’re being a good steward of what you’ve been given. On the flip side, it’s important to turn over control of what you can’t control so you can receive something better than you imagined. Two of my clients in my Mastermind told me just yesterday that when they stopped trying to control their situations, something better happened for each of them. What would you like to receive more of?
If you want to create more real wealth, here’s what I want you to do first. Start by defining what real wealth means to you. Instead of chasing after someone else’s dreams that won’t fulfill you, clarify your own. Then create a routine for yourself that energizes you to do the work you’ll be digging into. Make it fun by challenging yourself, rewarding yourself or reminding yourself of how the action is directly related to your bigger goal. Finally, focus on the small actions within your control and turn over the timing and outcome to God. If you don’t believe in God or a Higher Power, focus on what you can control and let go of the rest. Practice being open and thankful for the results that will show up.
Be the farmer who sows seeds of clarity, action, generosity, focus and consistency. Those seeds are bound to produce fruit.
